“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day.” (John 6:54)
Ministers of the Eucharist are lay men and women who assist the priest in the distribution of Holy Communion. Their ministry is three-fold: distribute communion at Mass; take the Eucharist to parishioners who are home bound or institutionalized, and sometimes conduct communion services if a priest is unavailable. Eucharistic ministers are nominated by the pastor and approved by the Archbishop of Baltimore. A training program is provided and all Eucharistic ministers must attend an annual workshop.
If you are interested in becoming a Eucharistic Minister and you are at least 18 years old, please contact the office at 301-797-9445 or Ministry Schedule Coordinator, Susan L.S. Smith at [email protected].
